These two cartoon duos defined edgy hilarious animation during the 90’s and provided for some classic moments that everyone growing up in that era will remember. Ren and Stimpy aired, oddly enough, on Nickelodeon while Beavis and Butthead was, more fittingly, a staple on MTV.
Humor
They were both very different in subject matter but held the same over the top antics that kept kids watching. Ren and Stimpy’s humor was derived from disgusting close-up shots and exaggerated, oftentimes graphic, animation style. Beavis and Butthead’s humor was based on the the character’s idiocy and hilarious critiques of music videos.
Conclusion
It’s a tough call, but we’re going with Beavis and Butthead on this one. That show is a classic!
